About Project
Located on the Shilaoren beach overlooking the iconic natural monument known as the "Old Stone Man" after an old Chinese legend, the Hyatt Regency Qingdao is a luxury urban resort with direct access to the beach in Qingdao.
The complex offers its guests a wide range of services and is ideal for work conventions, weddings and relaxing holidays.
Given its flexible character, the hotel's lighting system is designed to meet a number of different requirements. iGuzzini supplied the luminaires for various areas, including small, recessed Pinhole luminaires used to create accent lighting effects in the bedrooms and to integrate and animate the general lighting in the common areas with an attractive "starry sky" effect on the ceilings.
Both single and double versions of the recessed Minimal luminaires have been used in the restaurant area to ensure the correct level of lighting over the tables while the guests are eating.
Recessed Reflex luminaires have been fitted in the work conference and meeting rooms, as well as in the fitness zone, while the large windows in the gymnasium are highlighted with Underscore lines of light.
Underscore luminaires have also allowed a distinctive decorative light effect to be created on the ceiling of the hall. Here the Underscore devices have been installed in the grooves of the great oval motif that plays with straight and curved lines at the centre of the hall.
