The Chambal Riverfront in Kota, Rajasthan, India stands as a notable illustration of successful urban development within Indian cities. This initiative has revitalized a previously neglected stretch of land on the banks of Chambalriver, spanning 6 kilometers, into a dynamic tourist destination.

The Chambal riverfront project comprises 26 Ghats, each representing a distinct architectural style from various regions of India. Among these, the Rajputana Ghat highlights the art and culture of nine regions in Rajasthan, including Shekhawati, Dhundhar, Marwar, Wagad, Mewar, Ahirwal, Mevat, Gorwar, and Hadauti.

Another notable Ghat, the Literary Ghat, features statues of renowned authors and hosts a library with an extensive collection of books. The Ghanti Ghat boasts the world's largest bell, audible from a distance of up to 10 kilometers.

Additional attractions include the face mask of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru at Jawahar Ghat, the Nataraja statue at Nandi Ghat, and a towering 225-foot marble sculpture of Chambal Mata. The lighting scope for the project encompasses the 3-kilometer Riverfront facade, paths, entrances, fountains, and entrance roads on both sides. Each Ghat serves as a captivating architectural marvel, providing opportunities for unique experimentation to accentuate their individual characteristics and maintain freshness and vibrancy during nighttime.

For curved wall facades, recessed Light Up Orbit and Light Up Earth with wall washer optics at regular intervals was employed, blending seamlessly with the architecture during the day and uniformly illuminating the walls at night. Palco InOut Framer with gobo played a significant role in creating welcoming effects, depicting mascots, and incorporating various signs along the riverfront paths. The use of spotlights iPro with flood optic and accessories effectively washed the steps, while a signature wall washer technique by recessed Linealuce enhanced the appeal of tall, historic walls.
