The Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre (QSNCC) was Thailand's first national convention centre. It was built in 1991 and dedicated to Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother of Thailand, to host the 46th annual meeting of the World Bank Boards of Governors as well as to serve local and international visitors to the Bangkok area.

Between 2019 and 2022, it underwent major expansion works. During the three years of construction, a working group of architects, engineers, construction companies, lighting specialists and landscape architects worked together to share the project's objectives: to offer a new approach to Thai design that reflects the latest building technologies; to preserve valuable art objects by local artists; and to showcase specific Thai craftsmanship to an international audience.

The 15-cell Laser Blade light with Wide Flood optics and a color temperature of 3000 K welcomes visitors. They are used to cover the area around the main entrance to the QSNCC, which is located on the ground floor. This level, which can be travelled safely thanks to the 300 lux illuminance, connects visitors directly to the main stop on Ratchadaphisek Road and the secondary stop adjacent to Benjakitti Park.
